I’m Sara, an Auckland-based artist and designer with a lifelong fascination with colour, design, fabrics, and the endless possibilities in the realm of artistic creation.
Creativity has always been part of my life. My work includes botanically inspired watercolour images, and hand-stitched felt designs inspired by Aotearoa’s flora and seasonal themes. I take great pride in seeing my design work in homes in New Zealand and overseas.
I’m particularly drawn to the process of transforming simple materials into something unexpected - whether that means painting, stitching, embellishing or simply making do with what is at hand. The pleasure is as much in the process of creating as in the finished piece.
Away from the studio, I enjoy family life, walks with our dog, music, flea market finds, and Pilates. Having lived in France for five years when our children were young, I retain a deep affection for la langue française and continue to practise it.
I look forward to sharing more with you.
