Hi, I’m Sara - an artist/designer based in Auckland, New Zealand, with a lifelong passion for colour and unique expression. Always surrounded by creative endeavours, I have inherited a compulsive joy in making or making do with whatever I have around me.
Lately, it’s been a thrill to see my artworks resonate with others in New Zealand and overseas. You’ll find a selection of my pieces available for sale or commission in my shop, with new items displayed as they are created, including seasonal feltwork DIY kits with special Aotearoa-New Zealand themes.
I enjoy spending time with my family and taking walks with our dog. Practising tai chi helps me to relax with intention while connecting with others. I also love singing choral music, playing the piano, and listening to podcasts (often while creating), which feels like the perfect kind of multitasking. Another passion is searching for ceramic treasures and vintage linens at flea markets and op shops; I find it especially exciting when my keen eye spots a special piece among the mix, even from a distance!
I practise French daily, with my love for la langue française continuing to grow; an enduring connection to the five years spent living in France when our three children were young: c’était vraiment magnifique!
I’ll share snippets of my creative life in my bespoke blog posts; you can also find me on Instagram and Facebook. Please note that I have credited those who have inspired me in Inspirations under Creatives.
